Author April Erwin's Aspects of Faith
Most of us, sometimes, feel as if our heads are barely keeping above water. Even Avril Lavigne felt that way as she dealt with health issues over the last few years and her strenuous bout with Lyme disease, which is being given awareness to so many in their battle through her foundation, the Avril Lavigne Foundation.
There's a world of veterans, victims, and everyday human beings going through PTSD and dealing with mental illnesses that are suffering and need our help. Reading can be a great force against the negative, and when you find a book whose message gives you hope, you have to share it.
That's my motivation in bringing you a new book today. Author April Erwin joined me a couple of years ago with her first book in the Heroes of Justice series: Justice Burning. Author April Erwin shared with me what brought about this book: "I hit a really rough patch early this year, and it sent me on a search to find a way to strengthen my faith. It was rough. I really questioned how strong I was. I never doubted my belief in Jesus, but I realized there was something in my daily faith that was missing and it left me wanting. I started praying and fasting and asking God to teach me and show me what faith really meant and how to grow mine."
I felt a deep connection to this revelation. She shared how the Lord led her to new aspects of faith and how those aspects could apply to her life. She felt encouraged to share it with others, felt He wanted her to share the knowledge she was finding.
"I'd be listening to a song or a sermon or reading in the scriptures and it would just pop out at me. Faith is Surrender, Faith is Praise, Faith is Choice, etc. I realized about halfway through that God expected me to share what I was learning. I thought, okay, I'll write up my testimony and share it as a paper/tract. Surely it wouldn't be more than a few pages. I started writing and it just kept growing."
As I read through her book, I really enjoyed the breakdown of faith. Her chapters gave testimonies and scriptural references to why faith is trust, a choice not a feeling, obedience, action, praising, and so much more. Each chapter brought a new connection, revelation, and hope. I read it and thought, "People need to hear this. They need hope."
Author April Erwin agrees: "I can't help but be excited to think that God is using my experience to touch others and help their faith grow too."
It's uplifting to read a book which is meant to restore your perspective. I'm all for positivity in this world, and I love to share it with others. I certainly hope this is a book others can connect to and find solace in. More than that, I hope it's a book from which we all can grow.

Now, April gives me some insight into her newest book: The Aspects of Faith. It's a book I already support 100% in this day and age when we're all struggling to make sense of life and the world around us. In fact, I expressed as much in my 5/5 star review on Amazon:
