The Great Turnaround by Susanne Weegmann
Meet Author Susanne Weegmann:
Susanne Weegmann (June 15, 1973) is a German author, founder and CEO of Prophetic Fire Ministry (https://www.propheticfireministry.com).
At the age of five, while painting pictures for the story of Joseph, Susanne experienced the power of the Holy Spirit, not knowing that it was the Holy Spirit. Growing up in a family of non-believers, she started reading scripture at the age of nineteen. While preparing for final secondary school examinations in 1994, she decided to read the four books of the Gospel instead of Job. Having a great desire to become a disciple, it took another ten years until she gave her life to Jesus.
Since that time, she has attended different bible colleges and studies and has served in different churches and several house groups. As a leader of prayer groups, time and again she has taught since 2010.
Her greatest passion is not only to share the gospel but to let the word come alive in people's hearts, to see GOD move in their lives.

Relevant, thought-provoking, and a crucial read for life. Author Susanne Weegmann shows readers why Jesus can still save.
I don't think anyone can get started reading a book by Susanne Weegmann and not get excited. There's a slight frisson of exhilaration and anticipation as you begin, and it builds with each new chapter. In this standalone copy, readers are introduced to a 40-day experience with the story of King Hezekiah. This journey reveals an immediate "call-to-action" for the wellbeing and spiritual investment of those who read it.
To be blunt, don't read this book if you think it's a fast read with no substance because you will be seriously mistaken. This 40-day journey will require you to think, interact, and expect discernment. Author Susanne Weegmann is calling you to utilize your prayer life, knowledge of King Hezekiah's example, and personal diligence to step into your own spiritual inheritance.

Within the book, we're given the steps through second Chronicles, devotions based on the given scriptures, additional scriptures, prayer encouragement, prayer points, and space for you to write notes as you go.
The reader learns quite a bit about how Hezekiah's rule and organization of the priests, Levites, temple worship, and sacrifice play a daily role in the temporal and spiritual world. Prayer and praise are at the heart of these lessons. Weegmann gives her audience the comprehension and reasoning behind Hezekiah's worship and how it can benefit and bless followers of Christ today. She emphasizes that these scriptural directives have precedence in the latter days and why it's important for believers to continue to observe these customs.
This book breaks down the second book of Chronicles in a way that makes it applicable to modern life. Chapters are shared in terms of how God worked in King Hezekiah's day and how He works for you now. The theme of thanksgiving shows how people are blessed when they give gratitude and honor to God in the good times and continue to show Him acclaim in difficult times. King Hezekiah's people were able to see the surplus of their blessings when they concentrated on how good God was to them. We, Weegmann highlights, can experience this same overabundance when we make time with Him a priority.
Author Susanne Weegmann's main message throughout is to focus on Christ. Believers need to come back to Him, pray, praise, and seek forgiveness to move forward in spiritual growth and understanding. If we do this, we and our land can be healed. It involves what you bring to the Kingdom, the development of your gifts, the blessing of your time, and the fullness of your beliefs which help you become who you are called to be and have all you need to fulfill your mission.
Through The Great Turnaround, I felt an uplift between the knowledge I gained and my application of it. That's why I've rated this book a 5/5 and plan to reread it. I feel this is a book many will find hope within and encourage anyone who enjoys reading Christian nonfiction, spiritual self-help, and further Scriptural enlightenment to give it a read.
Thanks to the author and Reedsy Discovery for an ARC copy of this book to read and review.
