In His Presence: Honor God with Your Life by Susanne Weegmann

Meet Author Susanne Weegmann:

Susanne Weegmann (June 15, 1973) is a German author, founder and CEO of Prophetic Fire Ministry (https://www.propheticfireministry.com)

At the age of five, while painting pictures for the story of Joseph, Susanne experienced the power of the Holy Spirit, not knowing that it was the Holy Spirit. Growing up in a family of non-believers, she started reading scripture at the age of nineteen. While preparing for final secondary school examinations in 1994, she decided to read the four books of the Gospel instead of Job. Having a great desire to become a disciple, it took another ten years until she gave her life to Jesus.

Since that time, she has attended different bible colleges and studies and has served in different churches and several house groups. As a leader of prayer groups, time and again she has taught since 2010.

Her greatest passion is not only to share the gospel but to let the word come alive in people's hearts, to see GOD move in their lives.

Powerful motivation to live, learn from, and love your relationship with God through Jesus.

Whenever I start a nonfiction book from a Christian author, I do so with the mindset that I'm about to learn something, grow in my relationship, and/or strengthen it. This is definitely the case with Author Susanne Weegmann's book In His Presence. There is a copy in English and in German, and it appears to be the first book in a potential series under the heading: Supernatural Life & Mindset Change.

The tagline "honor God with your life" is true to the content and message of the book. This book certainly challenges you to look at your life and understand what you need to do in order to gain a closer relationship with the Lord. It's very matter-of-fact writing and gives wonderful examples from the Bible. The lives of Isaiah, Nehemiah, Ezekiel, Abraham, Jacob, Joshua, Gideon, Paul, Samuel, Ezra, Cornelius, and Jesus, etc. are given as examples, Scriptural references, and pieces of their story are examined to give believers hope and instruction. Weegmann points out the reasons for each man's success and victory through God's blessings.

Readers are also given personal testimonies throughout the book to illustrate how a closer connection to God can result in growth and understanding of spiritual aspects. We're given more information on the behaviors of several disciples of the Lord's as well as a breakdown of what it really means to follow Christ. Several segments of that relationship are broken down into fasting, prayer, sacrifice, what a relationship looks like, how to hear His voice, how we are often tested, why trials and tribulations are needed, the importance of a covenant, our journey and friendship with God, and our overall destiny.

This sounds like a lot of information tucked into a 124-page novel, and it is. However, it's easy to read and digest. There are prayers at the end of each chapter and the encouragement to put the knowledge from that chapter into practice. The overall message is: "My sheep hear My voice," and I can see how putting this theory into practice is not only thrilling but immensely beneficial and gratifying.

As a believer, I think this is an essential book to read. We're often caught up in the world and its worries. Stress has become a monumental issue among all, and I found this book to be uplifting, engaging, encouraging, and just right for today's life. We need something to hold to in times of need, and I feel this book is a great representation of how our relationship with the Lord can get us where we need to go and sustain us through the hurts and struggles.

Over the last several months, I've felt one saying come to me again and again, and it is: "To live is Christ, to die is gain." I think this book shows us this message very clearly. It's a well-written (the author is a native German speaker/writer, but her translation is very well-done and easy to read), positive, and enriching book. I can't recommend it enough and feel everyone will gain something from giving it a read. It's straightforward, honest, and not given to "religious speaking" but shares the facts. It's about the personal, and it talks to you in a fellowship manner.

In His Presence was something I needed to read, and it will be a book I come back to again. It's message hit me in the heart and gave me food for thought. If you wish to be spiritually encouraged, inspired to lean upon the Lord, motivated to put God first, and invigorated to rely on Jesus, then this is the book for you. I'm giving it a 5/5 "must-read" rating for all of these reasons and more. I can't wait to read more. Please give it a read and see what you think!

Thanks to the author and Reedsy Discovery for sharing an ARC copy for me to read and give an honest review.

Thanks for joining me, and as always, Happy Reading!! :)
